General Rules Of Raiding

Overall info on the Raid
In order to join a raid you must sign up on the GroupCalendar
The only person who calls off a raid is the Raid Leader.
Chat is allowed during the fight and after the fight, if it will not annoy others or disturb the raid leader whine he or she is going over the tax or distributing the loot.
You must show up prepared to raid Fully repaired, plenty of buffing reagents, powerups, potions etc.
Come online 10 minutes before the raid start time.

Before the encounter
The player will listen to the person who says the tax for the current boss, usually these people are Assistants or the Raid leader.
No chat while going over the tax.
Questions will be asked after the raid leader or the assistants have gone over the tax - Then and ONLY then.
There will be NO talking in ventrilo while the Raid leader goes over the tax.

During the encounter
The player will do what he or she was assigned to do, unless he or she will be assigned to another position by the Raid leader and/or an assistant.
The player will NOT ask what he or she has to do while fighting the boss, since the Raid leader and/or the assistants tell the players what they have to do BEFORE the fight.
If the player dies and is not a crucial part of the raid, he or she will not start spamming about resurrecting, because the only class that can resurrect in combat is the Druid with a cooldown of 20 minutes minimum, so they will save their resurrect for people like the MH or MT.

After the encounter
The player will NOT post any Recount information before the loot has been distributed.
The player will NOT leave the raid group without a valid reason due to the chance that the raid group will continue the instance.

Markings in the raid

These are the general meanings of the marks, they may vary.

Skull - The first target DPS attacks
Cross - The second target
Square - Either Sheep on Humanoid or Shackle on Undead
Moon - either Sap or Sheep
Diamond - Banish
Star - To stand out 1 certain mob or player
Triangle - has different meanings
Condom - usually marks idiots in the raid - or who has Morose's Carrote

Also:

Skull - Main Tank
Cross - Off Tank
Instance Tips

Do not pull unless specifically instructed to.

Know your position.
Do not run ahead. As tempting as it is to be up front, you hurt the party by not staying in a cleared safe area. If you are a warrior, don't charge and create the melee area in front of the party (never charge unless instructed to.) Allow the pullers to bring the mobs back to where the fight should take place. Add's are a clear sign of nuebishness.
All range classes and healers stay as far as possible from boss or mob. You have a much larger threat radius than your party's, that means that you will attract unwanted adds by running to the front and attacking. Stay in the back and do your best, causing a wipe will make people think twice about inviting you again.

You need to have mandatory tools( Ventrillo, GroupCalender) installed – links to them are on available on main page.
